Ansley can’t wait to see her brother for dinner during winter break. While she stayed close for college, he went out of state. Ansley wasn’t expecting much more than the dinner, but when her brother’s lifelong best friend, Liam, shows up, dinner becomes much more interesting. Despite the past heart break, Ansley wants to get to know Liam this Christmas, a lot more than he previously allowed.

Liam has loved Ansley for years but was too scared to say anything. He showed some affection but ran in the end. Now more confident, Liam fights back and forth with his duties as a shifter and his love for Ansley. Humans aren’t supposed to know about the paranormal world. Doing so may put them in danger. With a plan in mind, Liam finds a way to love Ansley and protect her from his world. But when kinks seek to destroy the plan and secrets are discovered, how will their love survive?


Ansley has always had a secret crush on Liam, who has hurt her in the past. When Liam see Ansley again all he can think about is her. What is he going to do when the pack is watching him closely, wanting him to mate? Things clash when Xander gets involve. Will Ansley be the one to win the panther heart or is meat for many?

This is my first time reading a story from this author. Was hook from page one of this story. You get to feel a large range of emotions. Happiness to betrayal. The characters were very well developed and you were able to feel what they were going through. This was a awesome short story and highly recommend it.
