Bio *
Brenda Dyer lives in the small town of Sooke off the coast of British Columbia with her husband, two teenage boys, and an assortment of animals.
Her award winning Prophecy Series features hot and sexy vampire warriors.
She is a graduate from LongRidge Writers group.

So, what have you written?
To date I’ve written six novels for my paranormal series, titled The Prophecy Series. In addition to my series, I’ve written a contemporary novella, titled Love Comes Crashing In, and a short zombie story, titled, Zomboro Virus

How many books to your series? (if it is a series)
The first part of my series will be complete at six books. The second part will be complete at four books.
Question 3
Do you think that giving books away free works and why?
Yes. The reason why I believe giving books away for free is some readers who’ve never heard of me and my novels may decide to download one of my books if it is offered for free rather than pay for a book from an author he or she isn’t familiar with. And maybe once a reader reads a book I’ve given away for free they may like it and decide to buy other books I’ve written.

How has your writing evolved since your first book?
Excellent question.
My writing has evolved in three ways. First, I write cleaner with less filler—more showing, less telling. Second, I’ve learned how to get my point across using fewer words without losing any emotion. Third, since the writing of my first novel, Love’s Prophecy, the world I’ve created has grown. I know my characters so well at this point, and that important fact enhances my writing and the world I’ve created, which makes the reading experience all the better and more enriching for the reader.
Question 5
Is there a certain type of scene that’s harder for you to write than any others? Love? Action? Romance? Tragedy?
Loves scenes. The reason why I find love scenes so hard is trying to make each one hotter and sexier than the last, while making sure they all read different.
Question 6
What do you think makes your book stand out from the crowd?
Well, I feel it is the world I’ve created. The history I’ve created for not just each character, but a history that explains the existence of vampires. Also, my books—although paranormals featuring vampires—read real to life.
Here’s what one reader/reviewer had to say: Ms. Dyer’s ability to take a fantasy type of subject such as vampires and make it a real human story is just incredible! She writes a basic love story that just happens to involve the supernatural. She does a great job of integrating the paranormal so you don’t forget what you are actually reading, but she makes it human, if that makes sense. What happens with these characters could happen to anyone, really.
