Spiritual familiars have existed since the beginning of time. Familiarus are those who have died and have performed a pure act or acts of selflessness to be reborn into a spiritual being, who serve and protect their charges until they are no longer needed. Despite Cameron’s shady past, his good deed enables him to be reborn into a Familiarus and go on a journey of self-discovery of his sexuality and his own supernatural abilities. However, someone is targeting the familiar’s charges through a series of ritualistic killings. It’s only a matter of time before the killer strikes again. Can Cameron protect his charge from the same fate?

My Review:

This is my first book by Nora Jones and I was not disappointed at all. You are drawn into a magical world that not many know about. The characters are very well written that you can see the good and bad charters that they have. You get a more in depth feel for them. I must say that my favorite is Cameron, he will show us that you don’t always have to be the strongest to get things done. Cameron has been thrown into a world that the rules are something he not sure if he wants to follow. There are some wonderful twist and turn that I did not see coming in the story that will keep you on the edge. Did end on with a big shocker, can’t wait for the next book in the series to get some more answers. If you love a mystery with a flair of paranormal magic mix in you will love this book. Highly recommend this book and new author
