Sweet Dreams – A Tucker P.I. Novel

Kensei noticed Mac stop what he was doing to stare. She followed his line of sight, and with a smile playing at the corner of her mouth, informed him, “that’s Amali.”

“Um no,” he corrected factually, “that’s a human skull….. on your mantelpiece.” Eyes wide and spoon still in hand he advanced for a closer look

“Would it make you feel better if I told you she’s fake?”

“Is she…. it?”

Kensei Tucker is a survivor. Ten years ago, she and four other college students were abducted and tortured by a serial killer who went by the name โ€˜Nightmareโ€™. Kensei was the only survivor of this terrifying ordeal.

Fast forward and Kensei has moved on with her life. Sheโ€™s made a home in the sleepy seaside town of Hawkins Landing, where she works as a private investigator and life is good โ€ฆ until her phone rings.

Mac Jacobs works Intelligence with the NYPD, and his sister, Emily, is one of Nightmareโ€™s new victims. Benched from the case, Mac can think of only one way to find Emily, and this leads him straight to the door of Nightmareโ€™s only survivor.
