And with it, the protection of seven of the world’s greatest warriors. After only a few months of training, she surpasses their skills to become the most lethal member of the unit. It will take much longer for them to teach her who she is: their destiny.
But belonging has its own price—Sal fears she must choose between her life and the lives of her soulmates. And it’s only a matter of time before the enemy uncovers this vulnerability.
Each of the Black Blades will die to protect her. Some of them will submit to the bloodlust that overtakes her in battle and can be quenched only by roughly-passionate lovemaking—making way for very steamy love scenes. But it’s not all battle and fiery romance: so much of the pleasure here is in the relationships cultivated between Sal and her mates. Together, they’re as sweet as they are fierce. As protective as they are impassioned. And their relationships change and grow as beautifully as in any undying love story.
