5.0 out of 5 stars A worthy read full of unexpected twists!

A surprisingly adventurous read that had me at the edge of my seat!
Jason’s obsession with the paranormal lands him and his best friend Wade in The Vineyard House. The mansion has long been rumored to be haunted by Louis and Robert Chalmers who need both Jason and Wade to help them cross over to the other side. Jason’s dream of seeing and recording a ghost is finally fulfilled.
Wade’s terrified of ghost stories and spends many sleepless nights because of it, but he’s crazy about Jason and bravely goes along on his adventures. Surprisingly enough Wade senses and sees the Chalmers before Jason does. It’s also an incredible moment when his feelings get reciprocated. Jason’s always wanted Wade, but his fear of rejection has kept him from admitting it. This is puzzling because all through the book we know how Wade feels about him.
Like Wade I’m unsure of anything paranormal and was curious to see what this book is all about. The plot is unpredictable and the characters interesting enough to make one want to read further. I anticipated some heart stopping moments and wasn’t disappointed. This story moves along at a comfortable pace without all the over angst. My only question is who’s that six-year-old girl that keeps reappearing? The answer lies in a sequel. This book is a must read.
