TREACHERY IS afoot among the wizards of Tangia. The wizard king bids his northern champion, Aquilon Tenista, to seek and destroy those responsible for the theft of the wizards’ mindseers. To shield his own mindseer from the thief, Aquilon needs a bag woven of thread spun from his soul in which his can hide. He solicits the aid of Lucien, a clan witch, to weave the bag.

A low-caste widower, Lucien is betrothed to his clan’s war leader. The only way he can delay the arranged marriage long enough to affect his escape is to accept Aquilon’s commission and join his quest.

Watching the enchanting spell weaver interact with the fiber of his soul is pure torment for Aquilon. As the attraction between the two men grow, a sinister presence within the magic cloth begins to emerge. Threads of the enemy’s deception must be severed if they are to have any hope of preventing war and saving their people.

In searching for firewood, his icy feet made walking through the undergrowth painful, but Lucien wasn’t prepared to return to camp for his hide shoes. Stepping gingerly around a prickle bush, he spotted an old gray branch that would burn nicely. As he picked it up, he heard rustling in the undergrowth to his right and quietly straightened to see what caused the noise. The spark of fear of being confronted by a stranger lessened when he peered into crystalline blue eyes. They sparkled with wisdom and youthful vitality. A charming smile stole across the man’s face. Lucien finally blinked. “You’ve taken me by surprise, gentle man.” The stranger spoke softly, his low voice sounding like amiable music. Lucien covered the feather tattoo on his neck with his hand when he noticed the stranger’s eyes dart to it. The man appeared to be in his late twenties. His features brimmed with spirit. Tousled black hair hung to broad shoulders, and when he tilted his head slightly, Lucien caught a glimpse of a silver earring. Entranced, Lucien couldn’t avert his gaze. “I see I have taken you by surprise also.” Straightening, the man peered over the undergrowth and laughed. “It appears we have the same desperate purpose. Is your fire lit yet, sir?” Lucien managed little more than to snap his mouth closed. “Would you care to share mine?” It was dangerous to share a fire with an unknown man. But those eyes…. “Yes.” “Bring your branch and together we will warm the entire Tabbrela clan territory,” he said humorously. As the man helped Lucien pick a path through the undergrowth, Lucien snatched glimpses of him. His hide trousers were like any clansman’s, but the floppy-necked green-and-gray-flecked woolen tunic was unlike any other he’d seen. “Where are you from?” Lucien asked when his branch was taken from him to add to the collection. “You’re not from around here.” The man tilted his head as he laughed, and his hair fell back to expose the black symbols etched into the thick silver earring. “Am I not dressed appropriately?” Apparently his assessment hadn’t been quite as covert as he’d intended. Lucien smiled. “That rather depends. For what occasion are you dressing?” The man’s eyebrows lifted and then lowered in amusement. “I was dressing for the festival to be held between the Jarani and Tabbrela.” Holding his armload of wood away from his body, he looked down at his clothes before turning merry eyes back to Lucien’s. “Do you think I’ve miscalculated?” “No one will take offense at your attire.” Lucien tried to rid himself of the smile that possessed his lips. “But I think they might wonder who, other than Jarani and Tabbrela, dare come to their festival.” “Years of experience tell me no bard is turned from a celebration,” he said. “A bard?” Delight sparked Lucien’s curiosity. “What is your specialty?” “I play music far better than I tell stories.” Already Lucien was looking forward to hearing him play. “What instrument?” “Several.” Approaching the fire, Lucien tried not to drool at the sight of three rabbits cooking or the warmth the glowing coals promised. The sight of the flames alone was enough to remind him how cold his feet were. As the bard stoked the fire, Lucien crowded the other side, sitting with his feet almost among the embers. “Why are you not at the Tabbrela camp?” the bard asked. Lucien warmed his hands. “Ah, well, that is a story only a bard could do justice to, and I am no bard.” A wry smile crept to the bard’s lips. “Sir, you have gracious manners, but ‘mind your own business’ would have sufficed.” He feigned a sigh of dejection. “Perhaps I’m not worthy to confide in, but am I worthy enough to share a meal with?” “Definitely. My name is Lucien.” “You may call me Aquilon. But should you choose to confide in me, then you may call me Ilon.” He waggled his eyebrows. His beguiling grin almost persuaded Lucien to relate the woeful tale of his impending life sentence—what others preferred to call “marriage.” He leveled a cautious gaze at the bard. “Was there something in particular you wanted to know?” “I do think it a little odd that such a gentle soul is in the sylvans alone when there is warmth, food, and protection at the Tabbrela camp.” “Being forced to partner their war leader doesn’t sound like protection to me.” Aquilon’s eyebrows lifted, and he chuckled. “You must be a man of high regard if you find it beneath you to partner a war leader.” Lucien’s irritation flared. “Tell me,” Aquilon said. “Do I have a prince in my midst?” “No, you have the company of a black-feather epicene who would prefer to partner the clan fool should he be the person he loved.” Soul Weave Graphic

Cam almost didn’t catch the brush of the back of Jude’s hand against his, almost didn’t notice the sweep of a knuckle. Cam shut his eyes for a moment, head swimming from the beers he’d had, and there it was again, the ghost of a fingernail gliding over the back of his wrist. Cam swallowed hard, his brain at war with itself. He hadn’t been nervous about such a small gesture in so long, it felt like he was learning how to flirt all over again. But this wasn’t just some girl he met or a guy he was having a Netflix and Chill night with. This was Jude. Images of Jude’s naked body flooded Cam’s mind. The way his smile always had Cam smiling back. How when Jude came, his whole body grew rigid and his mouth went slack. The only way Cam would find out if Jude was touching him on purpose or not was if he did something about it. He inched closer towards Jude’s hand, just a little. The couch shifted. Cam opened his eyes. He glanced at Jude, and he was definitely closer, his legs spread out farther, his knee a mere inch or two from Cam’s. Cam widened his legs until their knees brushed, and Jude’s fingers moved, locking their pinkies together. It felt juvenile, but the hammering in Cam’s heart was telling him that there was more to this than what he was seeing, and he couldn’t help the swelling in his pants alerting him it was doing something to him on a biological level. Jude shifted to set his beer bottle on the floor, never breaking their small contact. Cam did the same. Cam’s body was thrumming, but he was too nervous to do anything yet. He didn’t know where this could go. They remained close and silent, no sound but the movie in the background. It sounded louder than Cam knew it was, the screen brighter, and everything felt warmer, as if Cam had stepped outside into the humid Floridian night. When Jude’s hand finally wrapped around Cam’s wrist, Cam stared at it for a long time in disbelief. Jude’s thumb kept brushing over Cam’s wrist, soft and sure, and that made Cam’s chest squeeze and lift in his chest. He wanted this, he wanted it so badly. Cam turned to Jude’s blue eyes locked onto him. Jude’s gaze was heated, and his lips were shiny. They were close, very close, and Cam had the sudden urge to close the gap between them—to see what his mouth tasted like. Give Me A Hand Promo 1

All My Love, Alec Brock

 photo add-to-goodreads-button_zpsc7b3c634.png

Linda González has given up small-town life with her mom to pursue a better education while living with her dad in Los Angeles. At least that’s what she let her family believe. The truth is that she’s in love…with an 18-year-old pop star!

Alec Brock has been her cyber boyfriend for over a year now, and Linda has finally closed the gap in their long-distance relationship. But when she surprises Alec in LA, he has no idea who she is.

In this terrifying turn of events, Linda has nobody to rely on but the real Alec himself. She’s torn between chasing the truth about the guy she fell in love with, and trying to win the heart of the guy he was supposed to be.

I’d never met Alec Brock, but nothing felt more real in my sixteen years of existence than the insane, breathtaking, overwhelming feeling of loving him—of being loved by him. Since the first time we had talked in that chat room online, I knew there was something special about the guy, something I hadn’t found in the physical world yet.

Falling in love with him felt as natural as breathing. And I know it’s hard to believe, but it had nothing to do with who he was.

No—I’d never given much thought to that. He wasn’t that famous when we met, and even when things got out of control, I couldn’t have cared less about that side of him.

I loved Alec because he could access a part of me that no one else could. It was like we both spoke this weird forgotten language that only we could understand, and every time we talked to each other, we were transported to this private little world where I wanted to live forever.

I’d never felt so connected to anyone before—so exposed, so understood. And for the first time in my life, someone seemed to feel the same way about me.

Seducing the Dragonfly

Graciella, Book 2
Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 10, 2020
Publisher: Totally Bound Publishing

 photo add-to-goodreads-button_zpsc7b3c634.png

Returning home to the Oregon town of Graciella after twelve years away, international real-estate guru Turner Brockman intends to make amends for having disappeared, then vanish again. He didn’t plan on meeting a figure from the past he tried to escape—beautiful Lily Moreno, now all grown up and the independent creative owner of Dragonfly Design & Construction.

Lily never expected to see Turner again and she’s determined to hide the love she’s felt for him since she was a girl, when he crushed her heart and killed her trust in men. Creating and owning the top construction company on the West Coast and being there for her friends and family are Lily’s only desires now. Except…there’s an intense chemistry between her and Turner, one she gives in to, only to harden her heart after every encounter.

Welcomed back into the beauty of Graciella and the family farm with loving open arms, Turner falls quickly for Lily, but faces his greatest challenge yet—seducing Lily into trusting him completely. Will his intense love, patience and good old-fashioned wooing be enough to capture his dragonfly’s heart?

Lily snaked her truck through the construction signs and orange barrels from the road crew that was working on Main Street during the week and parked at an angle that would make getting the long boards of wood out of her truck and straight into the theater easier. Lily put her earbuds in, cranked up Brandi Carlile and got to work.
Brandi was in the middle of an angsty love song when the two by fours Lily carried over her shoulder smacked against something behind her.
“Holy hell!” she swore as the impact jarred her. When she turned to inspect what had gotten in her way, her heart flipped over. Not something, someone. No. No. No! It can’t be. Not here. Not now. Not ever. She slammed the wood to the ground and sucked in a breath. Turner Brockman in the flesh. Lily ripped out her earbuds, her music replaced with a shadow from the past.
“I’ll second that,” he said, rubbing his shoulder. She followed the motion of his arm. She’d smacked him with her two by fours. Appropriate. His voice was deeper, but, even with his pissy tone, she’d recognize the sound anywhere.
“I didn’t see you…” No one’s seen you in twelve years. Her heart hovered and fluttered in recognition. Oh, no you don’t, you traitor. We do not love him anymore.
“See me? What about hear me?” he said, his voice edged with cold annoyance. “You left your truck blocking the road. I honked at you, twice. What kind of an idiot leaves his truck in the middle of the street full of lumber in broad daylight?”
Lily’s shock and surprise flipped over into anger. Idiot? Honked at me? ‘His’ truck? Oh, hell no! She wasn’t prepared for his return. She’d told herself he never would. It was the only way to exist, to move on once she’d picked up the shattered pieces of her young heart. Oh, how naïve she’d been. Thank goodness she’d grown up.
He stood there lecturing and thinking she was a man. Why had she ever fallen for him? Jesus, he didn’t even recognize her. She’d often wondered what kind of an impression she’d made on him. Now she knew—absolutely none. The jerk he’d been as a teenager seemed to have exploded into its full identity. And he was in her face. Great! Just fricking great!
She turned and stalked outside. Just who’s the idiot? She made it to her truck and could hear Turner yelling after her. She dug in the bed of her pickup for her toolbox and tried to regulate her breathing. Seeing Turner had knocked it loose and it skimmed and fizzed out of control, like scrambling to find breath after diving into freezing water.

Called back to his small town in Washington for a funeral, Ezra Zaan finds himself exactly where he doesn’t want to be … in the middle of paranormal problems with the vampire ex who broke his heart. Which is easier said than done when their hatred has them at each other’s throats. Investigating the breaches in the veil between their world and the other, they uncover a conspiracy that threatens to tear them apart.

It’s a race against time and their own tangled past as they prepare for the battle of a lifetime.

Inside of the house is a reenactment of Poltergeist. Things rattle against tables and in cupboards. Random items float in the air. I watch as a candle bobs its way across the room. Rushing wind travels through the house, turning it into a giant wind tunnel. I stare at the couch, slack-jawed. Mother’s body hovers in midair, arms crossed over her chest, and hair stands up as if she’s submerged in water.
“Is she okay?” I yell to Ari over the noise.
“I don’t know.” His voice cracks. The sound of fear sets me into motion. Fighting against the concentrated bubble of air surrounding her, I inch closer. Licks of energy strikeout, shocking me. Embracing the pain, I battle my way to her side. Her eyes are wide open but rolled back into her head to reveal pure white. A translucent, multi-colored cocoon surrounds her.
“It’s not hurting her.” I shake my head as I monitor her. “It’s just disconcerting.”
A scarlet strand wraps around me and releases a jolt of electricity. Crying out, I hit my knees. Convulsions rock through me. I clench my teeth. The lights flicker off and on. I register my brother’s anguished cry seconds before I lose control of my body. Thrust into the backseat of my brain as a new driver takes over, I watch myself like a spectator.
“Come to me.” An incessant voice whispers to me with words that are a command. Turning away from my levitating mother, I walk past Ari’s prone body on my way to the basement entrance, fully aware this is an astral trip. A glowing white light illuminates the line under the door. Opening the heavy door, I’m stunned by the transformation. White mist creeps up the stairwell like a fog. The source of the white light is a massive Ankh that sits high in the air casting down beams.
The room transforms into a hallway straight out of ancient Egypt. Cuneiform etched in the beige stone walls tells a story I can’t translate. The air is musty and cool. Hallways branch off on the left and right, leading to rooms with detailed drawings, and long rectangles that must house sarcophaguses. I’m in a pyramid.
Torches line the walls. I turn to the left down a corridor. A dark figure looms ahead on an elevated stone altar. As I draw closer, pointed ears, an elongated snout, a gold head, and onyx headdress with silver ankhs come into focus. The image identifies the being as Anubis, the Egyptian God of Death.
A broad layered wesekh collar laden with precious gemstones drapes from shoulder to shoulder, emphasizing his thick neck. Ornate golden cuffs adorn his forearms, and wrap skirt of the same color reveals powerful thighs and legs. He’s like a bodybuilder on steroids, only leaner. His muscular humanoid form and jackal-like face are at odds and seamlessly blended under a glossy black coat of fur-covered skin.
If ever I was going to evacuate my bowels, now would be the time. A black staff with a golden serpent head is clutched in his left hand. Unsure how to proceed, I stop a few feet away from the bottom of the dais.
“Come forward, child of Anubis.” I can’t help but focus on his wicked sharp teeth as he speaks.
Confused, I wrinkle my brow. I don’t worship him.
“All who wield the power of death belong to me.” His deep voice has a guttural tone impossible to ignore.
My legs move, carrying me with them against my better judgment.
“You are the appointed keeper of my secrets. I expect you to serve me well and protect this book with your life.” A large, black tome appears in his hand. Worn with age, the leather is nearly white in spots. Ankhs and scarabs are carved into the cover, but it’s the golden Amenta that catches my eye. The upside-down half circle with two lines that resemble blood trails represent the underworld. “It will open only for you.” The book floats toward me, and I’m relieved that I won’t have to get any closer to the fierce figure.
“Thank you.” I bow in respect.
“You’ll find ownership of this book to be both a blessing and a curse. Wield its power with care. The balance must be kept above all.”
“I understand.” I take the book, and I’m yanked back the way I came by an unseen force. Clutching the book to my chest, I close my eyes to block out the blurring scenery around me.

Sweet Temptation-9 Acting on impulse, I leaned forward and brushed my lips across his then darted my tongue out, tasting the liquor clinging to his mouth. Smoky and sweet. Cassio stiffened, but the look on his face became even more intense than before. “What was that?” His voice was a low rasp that I could feel everywhere. “A kiss?” I didn’t have much experience, but I doubted anyone could mess up a simple kiss. “Are you trying to influence me with your body?” My eyes grew wide. “No. I could smell the liquor on your breath, and I was curious how it tastes.” Cassio chuckled. “You are a strange girl.” His mouth twisted. “Woman.” He looked down at the dog in my arms. It was snuggled against me peacefully. Without a word, Cassio turned around and returned to his glass of whisky on the table. I stepped inside and closed the door. Stroking the dog, I followed my husband. “What’s its name?” “Loulou,” Cassio said, a strange note to his voice. I stopped beside him. “Can I have a sip of your whisky?” Cassio’s eyes bored into me. “You’ve never had whisky before?” “No. My father didn’t allow me to drink alcohol. I had my first glass at our wedding.” “Many firsts for one day.” A small shiver passed down my spine at the contemplative growl. “You aren’t old enough for hard liquor.” My lips parted in indignation. Was he serious? He downed the remains of his drink, and before I could say something snarky, he cupped the back of my head and pressed his lips to mine. Gently at first, his eyes searching mine. I grasped his bicep and stood on my tiptoes—his permission. Then he really kissed me, his tongue stroking mine, discovering my mouth. The taste of whisky swirled in my mouth, intoxicating—not as much as the kiss though. God, his kiss set me aflame.
