DANGEROUS BILLIONAIRE by Luma Rose

Release Date: June 25

I’ve finally escaped from under my father’s political shadow—I’m no longer the political prince—I’m mayor now. It might not be a Senator but it’s the first step of my well-orchestrated plan to one day dethrone my father.

True to form, my dad comes demanding his due. Asking something from me I can’t give him unless I want to hand him more leverage to use against me.

Still, the pieces are coming together until Naomi Beneton shows up in my office. At first, she’s my savior—the best assistant a guy could ask for. But then I start to appreciate her quick wit and clingy dresses more than her administrative skills and things become complicated.

I realize too late that Naomi isn’t who she says she is. She holds the power to destroy everything, including the wall I’ve built around my heart. It would be easy to give into my desire for her, but she has no idea how much of a danger I am to her.

For two wizards from opposite worlds, only fate knows if a future awaits them.

Blurb When a group of intrepid sorcerers leaves their government, Prism Wizard Vadimas Porfyra is selected to lead them. After centuries of denying his chosen school of magic, Vadimas is embracing the full power of his hue. Busy ruling the Spectra Wizardry, he believes the only thing missing from life is a tidier house. Treasured by the large D’Vaire family, Vadimas is content and not seeking anything beyond knowledge. Far from the Council of Sorcery and Shifters is Arch Wizard Severin Dewitt, the Fate-chosen leader of the wizards. Little is known about the man whose wrist is marked by lightning. Severin is rarely seen, and unbeknownst to most, inside a house he cannot leave, his every move is being watched. Yearning for freedom, Severin must take matters into his own hands to forge his own destiny. The Consilium Veneficus considers Vadimas an upstart and a traitor, so when he and Severin find out Fate has chosen them as a couple, there is little consensus on what the future holds. Severin’s knowledge of Fate is minimal, making it difficult for him to accept that a matebond rises above everything, while Vadimas trusts her fully, pushing their relationship to the brink. Will distance, separate goals, and the ocean separating their populations of wizards stand between Vadimas and Severin forever, or can the two compromise to build a future together?

Blurb

For as long as I could remember, Theodore West was in my life as the support system I needed when my parents were too busy building our family’s future.

He offered me shoes to dance on, a shoulder to absorb my tears, and the harsh reality of where my life was leading when I was at my lowest point.

And when the future my parents planned derailed after a statewide scandal, I had no choice but to fantasize about one for myself that didn’t involve them.

But Theo? He was always in it.

My father’s best friend.

The man who would undoubtedly end me if I didn’t end him first.

Excerpt

“I’m surprised you didn’t get sick of me always bugging you to dance then.” I’d been relentless and he always did as I asked. My father joked I’d had him wrapped around my finger, a place I wanted him to always remain, even if that was selfish.
“I didn’t mind.”
“You never used to—” I squealed when he lifted me up and guided my feet to his shoes where they rested as soon as he dropped me back down, then started laughing when he kept dancing just like that. Like the old times.
“I enjoyed those days, Della,” he told me honestly, his face drawing back ever so slightly until his breath caressed the side of my face.
“You did?”
Half his lips quirked up. “I did. Those were simpler times when there was nothing heavy to worry about.”
I licked my lips as his nose grazed mine. My heart sped in my chest as I closed my eyes again and willed him to close the gap between our lips, but it never came. So I said, “Things now are certainly complicated because of my father…”
His sigh was felt in my soul, heavy and burdened, and I wanted to know his thoughts. “It isn’t just your father that makes things complicated now.”
“It isn’t?”
A pause. “No, Della, it isn’t.”

Die For Her by RB Hilliard

Title: Die For Her
Series: Steele Raiders MC
Author: RB Hilliard
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: June 11, 2020
“RB Hilliard crafts a heart-pounding romantic suspense” ~Amazon Review
“Strong smart females, sexy alpha males, what a great combination. I highly recommend this series to the MC lover. 5 Stars!! ~Bookaholic Mama
I am absolutely in love with this series!! IMO the writing is getting better and better, I mean the action from the beginning.” ~Little Shop of Readers
As president of Steele Raiders MC, Steele has the weight of the world resting on his shoulders. He doesn’t have the time nor the desire to get tangled up in a relationship. But then a beautiful woman—one that has no idea who he really is—steps into his life and makes him want more.
Luciana Ferina is not a risk taker. She’s steady and dependable, a woman who knows what she wants out of life. With a job she loves and a good head on her shoulders, she has everything she could ever need. But then she meets a man who makes her want to risk it all.
She’s the woman of his dreams.
He’s not who she thinks he is.
When secrets unfold, it will be up to Steele to not only protect her but to prove he’s the man worthy of her heart. Sometimes you have to fight for love, but sometimes you have to die for it.
In an attempt to change the subject, Steele nodded to the messenger bag sitting on the bar next to her. “A working dinner, I take it?”
“Pretty much. I just got back from a two-day conference and was trying to play catch up.” Before he could ask what she did for a living, she told him. “I’m the school counselor at Jasper High School. Right now, they have me doubling up as the college advisor, which is why I was at the conference.” Steele gave her a disbelieving look, then broke into laughter. “Hey, don’t laugh. I’m a kick-ass counselor, just ask my students.”
“I have no doubt you’re good at your job, sweetheart, I just wish you’d been my high school counselor. I got an old fucker with a bad attitude.”
She laughed again. “Mine was a woman who hated kids.”
“Bet those boys line up outside your office, just waiting for some ‘good advice’,” he teased.
“Stop,” she said, her face flushing a pretty shade of red. “Are you trying to embarrass me?”
“By the color of your face, I’d say it’s working.” This got him an eye roll.
Steele’s phone buzzed in his pocket. It was the second time in a fifteen-minute period. Duty called. “Excuse me for a minute. My phone is blowing up in my pocket, and I need to make sure it’s not an emergency.”
She waved him off. “Good, it’ll give me a minute to recover from such witty repartee.”
He smiled at her smart-ass response. “Someone’s pulling out the big words.”
Laughing at her scowl, he moved back from the bar. He had two missed calls. When he saw who they were from, he groaned. Karma had fucked him in the ass when it gave him Jake Espinoza as a VP. The guy was worthless. Taking a deep breath, he scrolled to Jake’s number and was about to hit call, when his gaze drifted over to Luciana. Her head was tilted back, and her eyes were closed, her delicately feminine fingers gripping the stem of the wine glass as it kissed her perfect lips. He followed the smooth line of her throat as she swallowed the sip of wine. Great, he was going to talk to Jake while sporting a massive boner. Tearing his eyes away, he quickly adjusted himself and pressed the button.
Jake picked up on the third ring, and in that asshole tone that Steele fucking hated, asked,  “Where you at?”
“This had better be an emergency.”
“What?” Jake sputtered.
Speaking slowly, as if talking to a complete idiot, Steele said, “You’ve been blowing up my phone for the last half hour, what’s the emergency?”
“Uh, no emergency. We were just wondering if you could pick up a case of beer on the way back to The Cave.” The Cave was what they called the clubhouse. It was named this on account of all of the bat caves surrounding the property.
Normally, Steele could shake off Jake’s stupid shit, but tonight he was running dangerously low on patience. He loved his club and his brothers, but damn if he didn’t miss his privacy. The day he became president, he kissed it goodbye.
“I can, but I’m not. You want to know why? Because unlike you, Jake, I have shit to do. Don’t call back unless there’s an emergency.” He clicked the button on the side of his phone and ended the call. Shoving it in his pocket, he returned to the golden-eyed beauty at the bar—eyes, that at that moment, were intently focused on his cut. The muscle in his jaw ticked. Here it comes, he thought.
“I’ve always wondered what being a member of a motorcycle club is like. I mean, I know there have been television shows made about it and all, but what is it really like?”
Talk about a loaded question. Arlan Steele wasn’t just a member of a motorcycle club. He was the president and leader, the person to whom all other members looked up to and relied on. Luciana, however, wasn’t aware of this. To her, he was Arlan, some leather-clad biker.
In an attempt to keep it simple, he said, “It’s like having thirty sisters who would take your back at a second’s notice.”
A smile lit up her face, one that took it from alluring to downright gorgeous. “I always wanted a sister.”
Steele frowned. “I have a brother. Trust me; it’s not all that great.” Her laugh caught him by surprise, probably because he wasn’t trying to be funny. His brother, Carver, was a local police detective. He was also a giant pain in Steele’s ass.
She took another sip of wine and his cock twitched in response. “So, do you have a clubhouse?”
He stared at her red nails as they rubbed against the side of her glass. Wishing they were rubbing something else, he answered, “We do.”
“Do you all live there?”
“Some do.”
“Do you live there?”
Steele owned a house on the outskirts of Austin, but now that he was president, he rarely saw it. He’d thought about selling the place but couldn’t bring himself to get rid of it. He also didn’t want to answer any more questions.
“Look, I should get going.”
Surprise flared in her pretty eyes, followed by something that looked a lot like disappointment. “Oh, okay, well, it was nice meeting you, Arlan.”
“You, too, darlin’.” He stood to leave.
“Would you like to join me here for dinner Thursday night?”
Thinking that would probably be a bad idea, he said, “Sorry, I’ve got plans.”
“Oh, okay. Well, goodbye then.”
He gave her one last smile and headed for the door.
Regret dogged him the entire way to his bike. He wanted her. Any man with two eyes in his fucking head would want her. But then what? He was president of a motorcycle club, and she was a high school counselor—so far from his world, it wasn’t even funny.
“Fuck,” he growled. As always, he was caught between what he wanted to do and what he should do. Why did his choices always have to hinge on the club? It was dinner, not marriage, for Christ’s sake. Pivoting around, he headed back inside.
Luciana was busy talking to Donny and didn’t notice him until he hit the bar area. Donny gave him a knowing smile.
Steele reached her seat and dipped his head to her ear. “Does Thursday at seven-thirty work for you?”
She pulled back and stared at him, her eyes sparkling with surprise. “I’d like that.”
He had no fucking clue what he was doing. All he knew was that he wanted her. Before taking off, they exchanged numbers. He told her to call if anything changed. It’s just dinner, he told himself, but in his gut, he knew that was a lie.
RB Hilliard lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband, two teenagers, and crazy dog, Oscar. She loves music, a good book, red wine, chocolate, and to write twistedly suspenseful stories. Alpha men, rock stars, and sexy bikers are among her favorites, but don’t worry, if suspense isn’t your bag, she also writes funny tales about exceptionally hot men who are in desperate need of taming. In 2014, Hilliard published her first novel. She has since published multiple novels across several genres.

Simon

I was so lost in my thoughts, I didn’t hear the door click open, and I didn’t realise I had company until I heard Taylor speaking behind me.

“That’s an awful lot of batteries,” he said, a note of amusement in his voice. I jumped, nearly banging my head on one of the fridge shelves as I spun around, my face flaming. “Got anything fun planned?” Taylor’s lips curled into a smirk that made a little shiver run down my spine.

Fuck! How could he reduce me to a speechless mess without even trying?

“I, um, I-I,” I stammered, no words coming out of my mouth. Shit, why couldn’t I just lie to him? Then again, what would I need twenty-four batteries for? It wasn’t as if I played a lot of video games and needed them for a controller.

“That’s a yes then,” Taylor said, stepping towards me. I froze. He picked up the pack and turned it over in his hands. “You must have some wonderful toys if you need this many,” he said. There was a dark glint in his eyes as he looked at me, and my dick twitched in my work trousers, precum leaking into my underwear.

My brain was suddenly supplying me with the filthiest fantasies it could dream up on the spot. All I could think about was Taylor spreading me out on his bed and using all my toys on me, making me come over and over until I was a spent, sated mess on the sheets.

Fuck, I wanted that so badly.

I wanted him so badly it hurt.

“You know, we could have a lot of fun together. And I know that I’ll be much better than your toys.” Taylor looked me up and down, raising one eyebrow as his gaze skimmed over my crotch. Apparently, it was very, very obvious how hard I was, and I wished the ground would open and swallow me up.

“Don’t be embarrassed,” Taylor said, his voice gentle, almost concerned. He stepped towards me again. “I think you’re gorgeous, Simon, and I know I want you. But if you want me to stop, I’ll never mention this again and we can pretend it never happened. I promise, nothing has to change.”

“No.” I managed to force the words out as my brain came back online. I needed to tell him what I wanted before he walked away, and I lost my chance forever. Sure, Taylor was just offering sex, nothing more. But I was a thousand percent sure that it would be the best sex I’d ever had, and even if that was all I ever got from him, that would be enough.

“I want you. Please.” I licked my lips, taking a step forward. We were practically touching now. “Please, Taylor. I need you inside me.”

Taylor smiled hungrily, reaching up to caress my jaw. “Oh, Simon, we are going to have so much fun.”

Excerpt

“Going somewhere, firecracker?”

I slapped my hand over my heart, trying to catch my breath and curb the wave of adrenaline shooting through me, as I looked up into the mesmerizing slate-gray eyes of Cole Taylor.

“Fuck, Cole,” I choked. “Couldn’t you have knocked?”

“So you could hightail it out an alternate exit? I don’t fucking think so.”

I went to reach for my bag, but he kicked it away across the carpet.

“Cole, stop it!” I cried, rushing over to it.

His large hard grasped my wrist, stopping me. I tried to jerk free, but he was too strong. He leaned down, grasped my hips and dropped me in the middle of my queen-size bed. As I scrambled to right myself amongst the over-abundance of pillows arranged neatly on top of the purple silk sheets, he climbed on, crawling up my body until he straddled me. With barely any effort, he had me incapacitated, his big hands confining my wrists, his thighs trapping my legs.

“I hate you!” I screamed, bucking beneath him in a fit of frustration.

“If only that was true. It’d make things easier on both of us.”

I stilled. “Is that want you want?”

He squeezed his eyes shut.

When he opened them again, all I could see was pain. “Don’t drag me down that road again, Tasha.”

How could I not? “I’m sick of being stuck in this… limbo.” I blew out a breath. “You either want me, or you don’t.”

His free hand slid deep into my thick, raven hair as he leaned in closer, his eyes boring into mine. “You know how I feel about you. But, you also know that, after what you did, it’s made it impossible for me to bring you into my life, to make an official claim on you.”

“I explained things to you and you accepted it.”

He leaned in closer, his gaze drilling into mine. “Slade wants your help,” he said, blowing past my comment entirely. “That’s why I’m here.”

“I can’t.”

“I haven’t even relayed the details yet.”

I turned my head to the side. “You made a wasted trip. I can’t, no matter what it is.”

“What are you so afraid of, Tasha? I’ll protect you. You know that. Fuck, if you cooperate with him, Slade will protect you with everything at his disposal.”

“Like he was able to protect the love of his life?” I snapped vehemently, his comment about protecting me hitting a nerve. Didn’t he get that it was the other way around? I was protecting him.

As usual, Cole snapped to Slade’s defense immediately. “He was utterly blindsided back then. Way younger and inexperienced. He’s been through a lot, done a lot, since then. He’s no fool. The guy knows his shit. No one’s been able to come at him and live to tell the tale since.”

“Too little, too late,” I muttered.

His eyes narrowed, hating the dig at his almighty president, the disrespect I was demonstrating. Talk about an extreme case of hero worship. Slade Mitchell really could do no wrong in Cole’s eyes. The asshole had him wrapped around his little finger. And, damn, Cole Taylor was a hell of a formidable soldier to have at his side. His reputation was something else. He was as much revered as he was feared. I didn’t doubt that Slade had been well aware of that when he’d brought him into the Steel Titans fold.

“Fuck,” I groused. “Just get off me and get the hell out.”

He didn’t move or give an inch.

“Cole!” I cried, thrashing beneath him and trying to break his hold. It was useless. He was an impenetrable force. All power and hard muscle.

“Stop moving,” he ground out.

I took him in. His jaw was tight, his body majorly tense. His expressive eyes were flashing in warning.

Oh.

Instead of doing what he asked, I ran with the opportunity he was unwittingly offering up, making the decision to poke the proverbial bear, rather than to sate it. I had to get him off me. I had to get him out of here.

I held his heated gaze as I undulated beneath him. His breath hitched as my pussy rubbed against his dick. His rock-hard dick.

“Tasha,” he cautioned.

I grinned.

And then I played to his weakness, sweeping my tongue over my top lip, slow and sensual.

“Fuck,” he groused.

My plan to push him far enough so that he’d bolt away backfired spectacularly when his mouth crashed against mine.

I choked from the sheer ferocity of it.

His hands left my arms and sank into the depths of my thick hair, grabbing fistfuls of it.

He tugged it roughly as he ground against me, grunting and rutting like an animal and delivering a hard, punishing kiss.

I was so overcome by the explosion of intensity, that I lost myself to it for a good few moments, my good sense leaving me when I needed it the most.

Against every protest from my body, I managed to get a hold of myself, pressing my hand to Cole’s chest and easing him back enough to break our kiss. “This is a bad idea.”

He scoffed. “Bad idea?” He licked my neck, making me moan out at the delicious feel of his hot tongue teasing my skin. “That’s what we’re all about, firecracker.”

God, it’d been weeks since I’d held him against me, weeks since his talented hands and mouth had tended to my body, weeks since his impressive cock had satiated me in the way only he could. I wanted him so badly. I craved that connection with him. I was desperate to lose myself in him, to forget that it could never really be, that we could never really be. It was a fantasy of another life, for versions of us that weren’t caught up in our twisted worlds, worlds that couldn’t reconcile one another.

He was right. We were a bad idea. When we came together, when we were wrapped up in one another, consumed by our hunger for each other, it always felt so right. But to the outside world, we were… wrong. We didn’t belong.

And I didn’t want that anymore. I didn’t want to be his dirty little secret.
