He rolls us over, until I’m top of him, but we’re still joined together.
“Ummmm. So guys?” Caleb coughs outside the bedroom door. “Now that you guys are awake, would you like to join the rest of us for lunch?”
Lunch? I look over to Brady’s phone on the bedside table and see that it is in fact, after midday! Then it hits me what he said.
“What do you mean, ‘the rest of us’?” I scream at him through the door.
“Ahhh well.” I can picture him rubbing his hand over his face, even though there’s a solid door between us.
“Caleb.” I ground out. “Who else is here, or coming here?”
“Well, it would appear that only you two are coming, here, and boy aren’t I glad I’m the one who discovered that?” He mumbles, but I can still hear him. “I really hate it when I get outvoted on things in this family. Truly fucking hate it!”
“Who else is here, Caleb?’ I demand.
“Well, you’ll be happy to know that only your brothers and Jules are here at the moment.” He pauses for a second and then continues. “Phew, it would seem like your parents just arrived Brady, and I’m sure we can all agree, that was a blessing.”
“What’s taking so long?” I hear Logan’s booming voice outside the door, but he’s obviously further away. “Why are you standing outside of the door Caleb? You’re meant to be making sure they’re getting up and moving.”
“Ohhh, believe me they were up and moving big brother.” Caleb tells him with a laugh.
I look down at Brady, because his entire body is shaking with barely held in laughter, but I can’t get off him, because his arms are around me so tight, I imagine it’s what being held in a vice feels like.
“This isn’t funny Brady!”
Before he can say anything, not that I’m sure he could through his laughter, Logan’s voice booms out again.
“What the hell are you talking about Caleb? Are they up or not?”
“Well, after all that, I don’t think Brady could possibly be up anymore, but feel free to ask him.”
“I will, because you’re not really helping.” The door handle moves, and Caleb’s laughter gets louder.
“NO!” Brady and I shout together, and the door stops moving.
“I’m telling you bro, I don’t think you want to go in there. Not unless you want to see your sister in some kind of position you’ll need to bleach your eyes after.”
“What are you talking about?” Logan demands, and I can imagine the face Caleb gives him as Logan starts to stutter out words. “Ohh! You mean? Ohhh! F**k!”
