SPRING SONG
Tag-line: A lush and lyrical tale of myth and magick to delight all your senses!
Blurb:
Can love transcend time, space and worlds?
Raised as a noble scion, Heinregard comes to the House of Silveria for
their famous Spring Song festival, but when he hears the voice of stable
lad Clayten, he’s overthrown in more ways than one. As they spend time
together overseeing Heinregard’s troublesome younger cousins, the two
grow close. Is Heinregard prepared to risk everything for someone of a
different station?
As the Dowager Duchess’ daughter, Viraya is safely past marriageable age
and responsible for Spring Song celebrations. This year, their guests
include a formidable Capitán who has the gall to set his cap at her.
Will Viraya be able to resist the attentions of this strangely familiar
Capitán, keep the children away from her precious blossoms, and ensure a
good showing for Spring Song?

Spring Song is a High Romantic Fantasy
novella that follows two couples (one M/F and one M/M) as they fall in
love at a Noble House preparing for Spring Song festivities.
If you enjoy sweet romance with your fantasy, or some fantasy with your
romance; if you like to read fairy-tales, myths and legends; if you love
lyrical story-telling that’s beautiful and bittersweet; if you love
poetry and literature, beautiful music and characters that make you
swoon, then you may want to read Spring Song.
The MCs from this novella have inspired poems and songs, including the
poetry collection Songs of Love & Longing. Be sure to check out the
original music accompanying this novella on the author’s Lake Traveler youtube channel.

Early Reviews
As someone who has read a lot of romance before and was fed up with
sappy stories, I didn’t think I would be so taken by the characters in
Spring Song. The female and male characters with their own beliefs and
feelings they try to suppress – made me become enchanted with the unique
story even more. Especially Clay whose super fan I become from the
first interaction. He’s the character who inspired the author to create
an entire album of unique tender love songs full of longing and
yearning. Check them out on the youtube channel.

The word ‘beautiful‘ just kept popping into my mind while I was reading
the novella. It was simply so beautifully written! The emotions as
portrayed by the protagonists were so poignant and intense. It
incorporated the feelings of forbidden love, of duties and
responsibilities, of memories long gone but recurring, of fated love
that transcended from past lives…There’s just so much to it. This is
indeed a very lovely and good read and I am so glad I came across it!

Spring Song is a fantasy tale with a vibe similar to King Arthur and
other medieval Fantasy Romances…The relationships are very well
written and there is a very slow burn feel to the love stories. If you
like stories that take their time and are in no rush to get to the end.
Then this is a very relaxing, yet gripping read that will not
disappoint.
The world-building is fantastic from the language, the flowers,
traditions. Cassia Hall’s prose creates a beautiful and intricate world
full of vibrant cultures that come together and even clash due to
various traditions…. mostly a fun and quite a romantic fairy tale
about love and the bonds that bring people together…

Hall is the author of the LGBTQ-friendly series, the Seasons Cycle, a
spin-off from her main Lake Traveler Saga. Her poetry collections
include Poems of Myth & Magick and Songs of Love & Longing.
She composes songs for her characters, using music–the universal

straight to our hearts.
Her work is character-driven, featuring strong female or LGBTQ+
protagonists. Her writing has been described as ‘lush and lyrical’, her
music as ‘LoTR meets GoT and Witcher, with a musical theatre vibe’.
She lives in Toronto, Canada where the winters are long and the other
seasons very precious.
