Genre: Dark Romance

Ember (Emmy)
Why am I on a site like this?
Simple, my roommates.
My real life is a façade
I want to be told I’m a good girl
To be disciplined when wrong
To explore all my curiosities
I want to be the perfect submissive as much as he wants to dominate me
But there’s something he’s hiding
How can I trust him as my dom if he can’t trust me with who he is?

Colin
Colin, that’s who I am today
A persona that isn’t even real
Locked the real me away before my first kill
After almost 20 years of pulling the trigger, I think about life on the outside
And it starts with this website
I thought it was all wrong until I met her
She’s what I want as a submissive
We are learning this lifestyle together
Until she wanted to know more about me…
How do I make her understand?
If something happens to her, I’ll set this world on fire

A DARK AND STORMY TEA GREAT ESCAPES TOUR

A Dark and Stormy Tea (A Tea Shop Mystery) by Laura Childs

About A Dark and Stormy Tea

A Dark and Stormy Tea (A Tea Shop Mystery) Cozy Mystery 24th in Series Berkley (August 9, 2022) Hardcover : 320 pages ISBN-10 : 0593200896 ISBN-13 : 978-0593200896 Digital ASIN : B09LH6VG4P

A possible serial killer on the loose sends tea maven Theodosia Browning into a whirlwind of investigation in this latest installment of the New York Times bestselling series.

It was a dark and stormy night, but that was the least of Theodosia Browning’s troubles. As she approaches St. Philips Graveyard, Theodosia sees two figures locked in a strange embrace. Wiping rain from her eyes, Theodosia realizes she has just witnessed a brutal murder and sees a dark-hooded figure slip away into the fog.

In the throes of alerting police, Theodosia recognizes the victim—it is the daughter of her friend, Lois, who owns the Antiquarian Bookshop next door to her own Indigo Tea Shop.

Even though this appears to be the work of a serial killer who is stalking the back alleys of Charleston, Lois begs Theodosia for help. Against the advice of her boyfriend, Detective Pete Riley, and the sage words of Drayton, her tea sommelier, amateur-sleuth Theodosia launches her own shadow investigation. And quickly discovers that suspects abound with the dead girl’s boyfriend, nefarious real estate developer, private-security man, bumbling reporter, and her own neighbor who is writing a true-crime book and searching for a big ending.

INCLUDES DELICIOUS RECIPES AND TEA TIME TIPS!

About Laura Childs

Laura Childs is the New York Times bestselling author of the Tea Shop Mysteries, Scrapbook Mysteries, and Cackleberry Club Mysteries. In her previous life she was CEO/Creative Director of her own marketing firm and authored several screenplays. She is married to a professor of Chinese art history, loves to travel, rides horses, enjoys fundraising for various non-profits, and has two Chinese Shar-Pei dogs.

Laura specializes in cozy mysteries that have the pace of a thriller (a thrillzy!) Her three series are:

The Tea Shop Mysteries – set in the historic district of Charleston and featuring Theodosia Browning, owner of the Indigo Tea Shop. Theodosia is a savvy entrepreneur, and pet mom to service dog Earl Grey. She’s also an intelligent, focused amateur sleuth who doesn’t rely on coincidences or inept police work to solve crimes. This charming series is highly atmospheric and rife with the history and mystery that is Charleston.

The Scrapbooking Mysteries – a slightly edgier series that take place in New Orleans. The main character, Carmela, owns Memory Mine scrapbooking shop in the French Quarter and is forever getting into trouble with her friend, Ava, who owns the Juju Voodoo shop. New Orleans’ spooky above-ground cemeteries, jazz clubs, bayous, and Mardi Gras madness make their presence known here!

The Cackleberry Club Mysteries – set in Kindred, a fictional town in the Midwest. In a rehabbed Spur station, Suzanne, Toni, and Petra, three semi-desperate, forty-plus women have launched the Cackleberry Club. Eggs are the morning specialty here and this cozy cafe even offers a book nook and yarn shop. Business is good but murder could lead to the cafe’s undoing! This series offers recipes, knitting, cake decorating, and a dash of spirituality.

The Cross of Ciaran, Book 3

Paranormal Romance

Ciarán Donnelly is ready to leave his past behind and concentrate on his new life, but his past may not be finished with him. His dreams have returned with a vengeance, and this time they’re telling him Ruadhán, the long-dead priest who entombed him fifteen hundred years before, is threatening to kidnap his unborn twins. Of course, his dream interpretation leaves a lot to be desired, especially when it comes to those he loves.

As if the dreams are not bad enough, his anxiety over them is causing stress on his new marriage, which is the last thing Caitlin needs in her current condition. The twins are on the way, and everyone advises him the dreams stem from his own insecurities over becoming a father. After all, Ruadhán was the chief priest, a member of the high council, loyal to his goddess unto death. What are the chances he suffered the same fate as Ciarán and survived fifteen centuries?

The theory sounds reasonable, and he’s happy to accept it, until Aodhán comes across an empty tomb in the Hills of ár Sinsear that looks as though it may have been occupied at some point. Could Ruadhán have survived after all? And if so, where is he now? To complicate the issue, Aodhán stumbles across another piece of information that could alter the possible meaning of his brother’s dreams. But will Ciarán manage to put the pieces together before it’s too late, or will he lose his family to an ancient adversary?

Alien Bride Lottery, Volume 1

The Khanavai Warriors Alien Bride Games Books 1-3

by Margo Bond Collins

Genre: SciFi Romance

Get the complete first season of the Alien Bride Lottery in this collection!

Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery: There are a million ways to end up in the Alien Bride Lottery. But it takes only one.

Every unmarried female human over the age of 21 gets entered once a year. You can also accept extra entries for legal infractions—instead of paying a parking fine, for example, you can request an extra entry. Lots of women do that. I mean, why not? The chances are astronomical that your name will get chosen to be one of the hundred or so women who get shipped off to space every year.

And even if your name is drawn, the odds are slim that you’ll match up with an alien who’s looking for a mate. Most of the lottery-drawn women come back to Earth every year and resume their lives as if nothing changed. But some don’t. And no matter what, getting drawn in the Lottery means you have to compete in the Bride Games. Guess that’s where I’m heading now. I only hope I can avoid catching the eye of one of the giant, rainbow-hued brutes whose mission is to protect Earth—and who can claim me as a mate. All because I was Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery…

Captured for the Alien Bride Lottery: I refused to be in the Bride Lottery—so now I’m a runaway bride.

Somehow, I knew my name was going to be drawn in the Bride Lottery—the hellish agreement that Earth’s leaders had made to sell us to the aliens who protected our planet. I’d grown up with the propaganda. It was our civic duty. Men registered for the draft, women registered for the Bride Lottery. No way in hell was I going to be handed over to some giant man to be brutalized into bearing his children. Instead, I cut out my bio-tracker and walked away from everything. I should have realized they’d send one of those hulking, brightly colored aliens to track me down and bring me back. Never did I expect that he’d be devastatingly attractive. Or that we’d have to go on the run from the evil Horde trying to destroy both our planets. Now that we’re together, can I ever run away again? And could he really hand me over to the Bride Games to be taken by another warrior? Because I think I might be falling in love…

Claimed for the Alien Bride Lottery: I thought I’d escaped being given to an alien warrior. I was wrong.

I was one hour away from washing out of the Alien Bride Games. None of the Khanavai warriors had chosen me, and I was scheduled on the next shuttle off the filming station. But then a bright red alien passed me in a hallway—and the next thing I knew, we were all over each other. Bad enough that my name had been drawn in the Bride Lottery. Now, even though they’re supposedly over, I’m back in the Games. And not the usual ones, either—a whole new set of challenges, just for me. Guess it’ll make for good television back home. I just hope I can resist him long enough to get back to Earth, to the people I love. And that I can keep him from learning my most desperate secret. The odds aren’t looking good, though…

PLUS Christmas for the Alien Bride Lottery:

When Lola graduates from college a semester early, she’s left without a job or even any real prospects. She takes a holiday position working as a Christmas Elf at the local mall, only to learn to loathe all things Christmas.
So when her name is drawn for the Alien Bride Lottery’s new “Holiday Special,” she’s almost relieved. Until she meets Valtin, the Khanavai warrior who has decided to make her his own. He’s fascinated with human holiday traditions, especially Christmas.
Can a cranky Christmas Elf and an overeager alien male find the magic of the season together?

Every book in the Khanavai Warrior Bride Games series is a standalone romance. Join these brides as they find a whole new world of happily ever afters.

Praise for the Series

“The mystery is perplexing—for Kit and company, and for me—and well done. I was impressed by the complexity of the murder plot. I enjoyed the political theme, and all the details about lobbyists.” —Jane Reads “To someone who has mastered that uniquely Washington skill of bobbling two cell phones and a glass of wine without spilling a drop, solving a murder is practically child’s play.” —HillRag “A solid choice for political junkies and readers of Maggie Sefton, Fred Hunter, and Mike Lawson.” —Library Journal “The fourth volume in author Colleen J. Shogan’s simply outstanding ‘Washington Whodunit’ series, K Street Killing is a consistently entertaining read with many an unexpected twist and turn by a true master of the genre.” —Midwest Book Review “Shogan does a good job depicting the creaky, squeaky wheels of government, and Marshall plays politics and sleuth with equal dexterity in this capital Capitol Hill mystery.” —Publishers Weekly “Loads of inside scoop about the workings of Senate offices—complete with all the gossiping, back-stabbing, and procedural maneuvering—plus an appealing young sleuth, sprightly pacing, and an edge-of-your-seat showdown on the Hart-Dirksen underground train.” —Literary Hill “An excellent whodunit…. I was really impressed with this very smart story. The author is a former Senate staffer so she is writing what she knows, less the murder, I hope.” —Escape with Dollycas Into a Good Book “Readers who enjoy amateur sleuth mysteries written in the style of Agatha Christie will enjoy this promising debut mystery.” —The Washington Independent Review of Books TOUR PARTICIPANTS August 8 – Novels Alive – SPOTLIGHT August 8 – My Reading Journeys – SPOTLIGHT August 9 – Maureen’s Musings – SPOTLIGHT August 9 – Sapphyria’s Book Reviews – SPOTLIGHT August 10 – Books a Plenty Book Reviews – REVIEW, GUEST POST August 10 – Island Confidential – SPOTLIGHT August 11 – #BRVL Book Review Virginia Lee Blog – SPOTLIGHT August 12 – Reading, Writing & Stitch-Metic – GUEST POST August 12 – Celticlady’s Reviews – SPOTLIGHT August 13 – Brooke Blogs – SPOTLIGHT August 14 – Ruff Drafts – SPOTLIGHT August 15 – Socrates Book Reviews – SPOTLIGHT August 16 – Christy’s Cozy Corners – AUTHOR INTERVIEW August 17 – Girl with Pen – SPOTLIGHT August 17 – Escape With Dollycas Into A Good Book – REVIEW August 18 – Literary Gold – AUTHOR INTERVIEW August 18 – Ascroft, eh? – AUTHOR INTERVIEW August 19 – MJB Reviewers – SPOTLIGHT August 19 – Diane Reviews Books – GUEST POST August 20 – The Mystery of Writing – AUTHOR INTERVIEW August 21 – Lady Hawkeye – SPOTLIGHT August 21 – BookishKelly2020 – SPOTLIGHT August 21 – The Mystery Section – SPOTLIGHT   a Rafflecopter giveaway https://widget-prime.rafflecopter.com/launch.js Have you signed up to be a Tour Host? Fallen Comrade

Project Morpheus Book 1

by Jillian David

Genre: Romantic Military Suspense

Ex-Green Beret Jake Zimmerman’s Georgia mountain seclusion is shattered when the one woman he should never have left, pregnant Kiera McNeill, shows up on his doorstep. Her life is in danger, thanks to a botched Morpheus Squad mission. If the nature of her baby is discovered, evil forces will stop at nothing to capture Kiera. When Kiera learns of Jake’s top-secret Morpheus Virus running through his veins, she realizes that her protector is the deadlier threat.

Kiera knows the secrets of Fallen Comrades, a billion-dollar “charity” which siphons donations away from wounded veterans and into the pockets of power-hungry CFO Beau Lequire. Now her sadistic ex-boss, Lequire, wants revenge. Her only chance of escape rests in the lethal hands of the man who once rejected her: Jake. All she needs to do is suppress her feelings for Jake long enough to destroy Fallen Comrades, stay alive, and save her baby.

Jillian David lives near the end of the Earth with her nut of a husband and their bossy cats. To escape the sometimes-stressful world of the rural physician, she writes while on call and in her free time. She enjoys taking realistic settings and adding a twist of “what if.” Running or hiking on local trails often promotes plot development.
