You know how the story goes. Don’t you?

Boy meets girl. Eyes lock, they fall in love, live happily ever after.
Not this story.
Lacey baby, was what he called me. He said I was too young for him but who cares, we were both young. He stopped resisting and we fell in love.
I thought we were going to be forever. We were. Until the unthinkable happened savagely ripping through us, ripping us apart, and forever turned in to never.
He was gone. I was left to pick up the shredded pieces. Punished for the life inside me I couldn’t give up. the very thing I didn’t know would bring me out of darkness years later, could be the very thing that brings us together again for a second chance.
If we can only survive the ripple effects of the pain of the past and what lies ahead.
**A standalone second chance romance. Contains possible triggers.**

It landed him in the river with weights on his feet. But somehow he’s escaped certain death. The last thing he remembers before waking on the riverbank is a beautiful face and a soft kiss. Then, Tolomeo turns up naked at Leigh’s apartment. Tolly comes from a race of killers—merfolk who drown humans for fun. But Tolly is different, and when he sees a human in trouble, he offers a kiss, granting the man the ability to breathe underwater… and himself the ability to walk on land, at least until the next full moon. The ancient laws state that if he is given a vow of love by the one he kissed, he will be able to keep his legs. If not, he will be put to death when he returns to the water. Blurb The elements touch everyone on Earth—Fire, Water, even Light—but every so often someone becomes more attuned to their elemental leaning and develops true power. When an evil Elemental known as Thanatos arrived in Olympus City, it saw the rise of its first hero—Zeus. But the death toll caused by defeating Thanatos changed Zeus, who by day is young detective Danny Grant. It’s been six months since Thanatos terrorized the city at the start of Lovesick Gods. Danny should be used to his duty behind the mask, but the recent past haunts him. His girlfriend left him, he snaps at the barest provocation, his life feels empty—he needs an outlet, any outlet to pull him out of his depression. Enter notorious thief Malcolm Cho, the Ice Elemental Prometheus. There was a time when Danny welcomed a fight with Cho, filled with colorful banter and casual flirtations that were a relief compared to Thanatos. Even as a criminal, Cho had recognized the threat Thanatos posed and promised to help Danny stop him, but the day Danny needed Cho, he never showed. Cho was the reason so many people died that day—including Danny’s mother. Danny decides to teach the man a lesson and fan the fire of their attraction into something more. At worst, he’ll get some no-strings-attached sex out of the deal and finally blow off steam; at best, he’ll get Cho to fall in love with him and then break his heart to spite him. Danny doesn’t expect to fall for Cho in the process, and he certainly can’t predict the much darker threat on the horizon.

Don’t Dare Fall by Sonya Jesus

Title: Don’t Dare Fall
Series: The Knight Series #2
Author: Sonya Jesus
Genre: Psychological/Romance Thriller
Release Date: February 28, 2018
Westbrook students don’t fall down the well. Their dead bodies are thrown in.
When it’s just the two of them, things between Lia and her new beau are comfortable, easy, simple, but that doesn’t mean they’re right. In fact, her whole life is out of whack, and an open-relationship complicates her path to love. When weird things start happening, she naively plays them off as pranks, but the random creepy gifts soon turn to threats—disturbing incidents she keeps hidden from everyone.
Hawk manipulates his way into the dorm, gaining insider access to all things Lia by dating her suitemate. Keeping up with Lia’s ever-changing heart choices proves challenging, especially when others begin noticing his obsession. Between keeping his secrets hidden and turning Lovers’ Well into a gravesite, Hawk’s been distracted, slipping up and making bolder moves. When one of those moves leads to discovering the secrets, Hawk knows what he has to do: protect Lia at all costs.
But it may be too late. Someone is out to get her. Who better to save her, then the guy who has been watching her?
The Knights Series combines suspense and edge-of-your-seat thrills with the innocence of first love.

Sonya’s a nerd—a cool nerd—who loves science, books, make-up and unicorns. She even has unicorn slippers and unicorn plushes adorn her office. It’s not an obsession (or so she says), it’s simply an ode to her imaginative side. Storytelling has been her passion since her youth, but her family believes it’s more than that.
Though she’s fun-loving, complex-minded, and heart-driven, her philosophy on life is quite simple: Shit happens. Keep going.
When asked to elaborate, she said, “Believing in yourself is probably one of the hardest things to do, but look in the mirror. You’re still standing. That’s strength. Don’t underestimate yourself.”
Sonya also believes in fairytales and in the beautiful things a mind can conjure. She’s a firm believer in empowering the crazy fictional ideas, putting them down on paper, and letting them flourish into a story.
“There’s so much potential in a dream… a thought… not exploring it seems like such a waste of something absolutely beautiful.”

Don’t Dare Love by Sonya Jesus

Title: Don’t Dare Love
Series: Knight Series #1
Author: Sonya Jesus
Genre: Psychological/Romance Thriller
Release Date: September 21, 2017
The closer she gets to love, the more he unravels.
For commitment-phobe Lia, love means trusting someone enough to let them in. She’s not harboring some deep dark secret or a tortured soul; she’s simply scared to give her heart away. When Connor sparks her interest, she reluctantly gives the freshman a chance, unknowingly catalyzing a change in her love life. Suddenly, guys vie for her attention, and her heart is torn between the new, the old, and the familiar. While she’s busy with new experiences and conflicting feelings, Hawk is unraveling.
Lia doesn’t know how deep Hawk’s obsession goes. He’s always there, listening in, tracking her every move, and studying her. If not for his intervention, the guys from Lia’s past would have damaged her innocence and broken her heart. They possessed the ability to change his perfect girl into someone unrecognizable and unsuitable. In all his careful planning, Hawk’s become too comfortable and underestimates Connor’s ability to sneak his way into Lia’s heart.
Cameras and footage are no longer enough. Hawk infiltrates her inner circle and manipulates the people around her, using them to carry out his plan. The sudden onslaught of male attention slows him down, or rather, escalates his obsession into something a bit deadlier. If Lia dares to love someone other than Hawk, then he may not survive her love.
With a whodunit vibe, this psychological thriller balances innocent, coming of age romance with the darkness of obsession.

Sonya’s a nerd—a cool nerd—who loves science, books, make-up and unicorns. She even has unicorn slippers and unicorn plushes adorn her office.
